Our Process

01

Initial Consultation and Site Assessment

Every new project begins with a discussion.   We start with a discovery call to understand the reasons for your home renovation or extension, hear about your vision for your home and answer any questions you may have.

We will then meet you on site to introduce ourselves, further explore your plans and assess the site.  We want to get to know you and your family and how you want to feel and function in your home.  We will talk about your must have’s and budget.  Our team will work with you to provide an overview of our build process so you will walk away understanding if we are the right fit for you and your project.

02

Design Concept and Estimate

Now that we have an idea of what you are wanting to achieve, we either design in house, or engage an architect or building designer to develop your concept drawings. This may include 2D floorplans and elevations and 3D renders.

Once we have a concept design, we can provide you with cost and time estimates for your renovation project

03

Preliminary Agreement

Once you are happy with the concept drawings, project cost estimate and timeline, we are able to move on to building approval plans.  If required, we will engage a structural engineer, certifier and any necessary consultants to complete your construction drawings.  Once complete, these plans are sent to City of Gold Coast Council or Tweed Council (location dependant) for approval.

At the end of this stage we are able to provide you with a Fixed Price Contract, Guaranteed Build Slot and Timeline.  If final design or pricing updates are required, they will occur at this stage to ensure your vision and budget align before progressing to a Contract.

04

Fixed Price Quote Approved and Contract Signed

Now we have all the necessary information to provide you with a fixed price quote.

At this stage you will be provided with the start date for your project and the timeline/schedule.  A contract will be signed by both parties and it will include all necessary information for the build

including all terms and conditions, payment schedule and variation information.

At the end of this stage the deposit is paid, your renovation or extension project is locked in and we'll coordinate all certification requirements and necessary documentation for Council approval.

05

Construction

Now that all approvals are in and you have signed the contract, we can begin renovations. We'll manage a clear timeline and work closely with you during each stage of the build - this includes providing regular progress updates and regularly walking you through the site.

06

Handover

The day has finally arrived!  Your handover will include a walkthrough of your newly renovated home to discuss everything from where your light switches are to how to use your appliances.  You will receive your keys, all warranty and maintenance information as well as all certifications.

Do you want to renovate your home but not sure where to start?
